If you search for “Shai” on a search engine, you will see two top results on the first page. One is about an R&B group from the 90s that had a song called “If I Ever Fall in Love” which ranked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The other result refers to Ancient Egypt, where “Shai” represents the concept of fate or the God of Fate. Developer Play’n GO has used this to create another one of their “book of” slot games, Secret of Dead. This slot game incorporates elements from previous games like Scroll of Dead and Legacy of Dead.
The game Secret of Dead has a familiar appearance that reminds players of previous games, including the first Book of Dead. However, unlike those games, Secret of Dead does not feature Rich Wilde or his daughter Cat. Instead, it relies solely on traditional symbols of ancient times.
The base game of Secret of Dead uses six reels instead of the usual five, which can be a bit surprising for players who are used to the standard setup. A similar game, Scroll of Dead, also had six reels but the sixth extra reel that was only unlocked during the bonus game. In Secret of Dead, however, all six reels are available throughout the game. Despite this minor difference, the game still looks and feels very familiar and appealing to players.
